Negative White Swiss duo Elio Ricca's new single, Duck (Forever for a Day), combines the best qualities of post-punk and indie rock with a pinch of wonky sounds. The result feels exhilarating: upbeat and sinister at the same time but highly addictive.

about

"Duck (Forever for a Day)“ is a fairly simple, fast-paced, seductive, indie banger with a hint of new-wave. A train called "rush of love" that makes no compromises and leaves everything left and right, leading to an unusual town called "trance hook" in the middle of the song, where guitar thunder hits, everything becomes one and dancing bodies melt into each other.
The musical background is at odds with the lyrics, which are about wanting to fall in love but holding back due to insecurities. A mixture that makes Elio Ricca's latest single suitable for both attentive and lighthearted moments, which makes this song even more irresistible.

lyrics

I no longer believe
I no longer believe in love
But I never wanna leave
I never wanna leave you now

I try to keep my problems away from us
I try but they keep holding me back
And when I’m talking forever
I’m talking forever for a day
And I don’t know why

I no longer believe
I no longer believe in love

I fly but I’m a duck, I jump and crash
I hide ’cause I’m once bitten, twice cold
So when I’m talking forever
I‘m talking forever for a day
And I don’t know why

Yeah, partially the problem is that I never wanna grow up
But, just give me twenty or thirty more years and I promise
I will get better, I will, I will grow up, ok? yeah?

Maybe I could love you now
But I’m in love with my life now
I still wanna keep you close, I said
Maybe I could love you now
Cause I’m in love with you right now
And I wanna keep you close, I said
Maybe I could love you now
But I’m in love with my life now
I still wanna keep you close, I said
